Pisceans are notoriously creative. Take Michelangelo or Frédéric Chopin for example, visual and musical artists beyond compare. What about you my fine fishy friends? How do you manifest the Piscean desire to create?

I've been a musician for longer than I care to admit here. I'm also obsessed with Film and 3D animation.

What about you?

I do hair for a a llving and crafty projects here and there. I have also been known to spin fire on occasion.

i tried to go to a vocational high school for cosmetology, promising my parents I would go to college still and use the beauty school as a backup. They said absolutely not, and insisted I choose the magnet school with medicine, law, and computer science concentrations.

Fast forward ten years and many mangled Barbie heads and a few haircuts in the college dorm, I'm a daily newspaper crime reporter, absolutely miserable and in deep depression. i want a career change. My mom suggests: "You're great at doing hair, why not go to beauty school?"

I nearly fell over in my chair. She didn't even remember her emphatic no!!

Hair is such a great canvas. I loved creating new styles, and sometimes new people, by doing my friends' hair.

Hair requires lots of creativity and empathy. You can take an extreme fashion risk with the wrong hairstylist. It's a bad idea to cross your hairdresser.

Ohhhh fire is COOL!! I wanna see!

I love to dance. I dance in my living room sometimes if my groove is ON.

Posted a few poems for my tribe friends when I started my blog (it's mostly about music now, specifically lyrics to great songs). There is such a fine connection between the poet and the reader. Very intimate and revealing.

Dr Boyfriend (my song writing partner) was a Publication Editor for The Independent Institute when I met him. He's one of the most wildly creative people I know.

Oh...but about that dance thing...I couldn't dance my way out of a paper bag...plus oddly annoyingly, I am having foot issues and I try to stay off of my feet. Do you think that contributes to the fact that Pisces rules the feet?

Possibly, my mom is a Pisces and she has huge bunions. I also have many feet problems, luckily dancing has made my feet stronger and has improved some of them like giving me a bit of an arch amongst others.
Depending on your feet problem you could try strengthening them by pointing and flexing (maybe adding a resistance band) and doing toe taps until they get strong enough to put weight on them.

Play flute. Read tarot cards for others.

If you really want to see me dance like a fish in a hot pan, you have to catch me at home.

I work in construction as a plumber during the day....idea being I design plumbing systems on the spot....actually I do a less now on the rough in side and more on the installing weird high end faucets and whatnot....you occasionally have to think outside the box believe it or not.

I create music on a computer in my off time.

Creativity is a great interest of mine! There is not enough time to tell you all the different creative paths I like to play with! My MAIN focus right now is writing a novel...I'm actually working on Chapter 18. I feel I've got about 10 Chapters to go! The only thing is, I can't time these things to deadlines. My novel seems to happen organically...so that when certain things happen in my life, they get translated into the story. I don't even know how the novel is going to end yet! :-)

Oh, I can do deadlines for work. But I need these personal creative endeavors in order to grow and interact with others (when I share my creative work with them, and they with me).

One person who really helped me get in touch with my creativity is my astrologer, David Pond. He does great readings of your chart in the way of "Creativity"! I recommend him highly, of course. :-)

Maggie, good luck on writing your novel (I aspire to do so one day myself) and thanks for the reference. Do you see your astrologer in person or online?

I'm looking for a good one - a great one - in my area. wondering how to go about it...

Greetings, Magenta! I wish you good luck on YOUR writing...and if you ever need some good exercises for writing a story, just ask. I had a few creative writing classes and even taught a few.

David Pond's website is here: www.reflectingpond.com/

He does a CD with your reading on it. I wrote a letter first and told him a little about me and my concerns. I first found him when I subscribed to Mountain Astrologer. He had done Bob Dylan's natal chart with emphasis on Creativity. Since I am a student of Creativity, I wrote him and asked him to do mine. He is very professional...and yet has a very spiritual, open-minded way of doing readings.

You might want to subscribe to Mountain Astrologer for a while and maybe you can find a good astrologer nearby. A lot of the top ones advertise in that magazine.

I've also had my chart done by Jenny Yates: www.astrologerjenny.com/
She comes at it from a different point of view. More "down home," I'd say.

I'd also recommend learning astrology on your own, because there is always more to see in a chart. For good astrology instruction, I like Alan Oken, Caroline Casey, Debbi Kempton-Smith, and Jonathan Cainer. You can get a pretty good short overview at www.astro.com/
for free...and you'll have your chart to study!

        Hope that helps!

I am a jewelry artist, henna student, Reiki practitioner, and massage therapist (in training). I'm also a kitchen witch (which I find to be very creative), an unschooling/homeschooling mother to 2 daughters (7 & 5), and obsessed with creating sacred spaces.

Tomorrow I start a new endeavor, teaching shape drawing to young elementary kids at a local Catholic school. Kinda nervous about being NC, but as long as I keep my athame at home I think it'll be cool.

Yep just as I suspected, tons of creative energy in this tribe :D

Brings to mind a song by Rush called Closer to the Heart:

And the men who hold high places
Must be the ones who start
      To mold a new reality
      Closer to the heart
      Closer to the heart
      The blacksmith and the artist
      Reflect it in their art
      They forge their creativity
      Closer to the heart
      Closer to the heart

      Philosophers and ploughmen
      Each must know his part
      To sow a new mentality
      Closer to the heart
      Closer to the heart
      You can be the captain
      I will draw the chart
      Sailing into destiny
      Closer to the heart

Ha! I forgot to list that I am also really into drumming, fire dancing, and beginning to learn poi. I use to be really into fine art, but find my more physical activites to be a better fit right now.

I'm a dancer and dance instructor.
I also love doing bead work and making my own costumes (like the white one in my photos). I'm actually working on a new costume right now.
I love writing and CAN'T wait 'til I'm at a good place in my dance career so I can divide my focus between the two.
But right now dance is my priority over everything and anyone. I'm one goal-oriented little fish.

Oh yeah, once upon a time I enjoyed making collages, singing and drumming (African Djembe and Middle Eastern Dumbek).
I need to find a balance between all my interests.

It's hard to focus with so many talents. You must have very little free time on your hands!

I want to find a way to meld all my various talents into a groove love fest of Music, Film and 3D graphics. Mebbe I'll blast out a video for my band Shinoco www.shinoco.com

Now i know where to find the hottest dancers! They are all in this tribe.

        Hi, Sarah,

I think that cooking can be a MOST creative experience! One thing I've noticed about Pisces cooks...they can whip up a gourmet meal out of absolutely NOTHING! VERY resourceful! :-) And yummy!

They say that Baking is a Science, but Cooking is an Art. I'm a lousy Scientist and can't bake very well, but I luuuuuuuurve to create Art with food. Cooking is sort of like writing a little symphony, all the different ingredients and flavors blend to make something that harmonizes like music.

Wonder if any of today's brand name Chefs are Pisceans?
