The Surface

I stared up at the surface of the water from the bottom of the pool. Watched the sunlight dance gracefully among the ripples. Life was much simpler under the water. No one yelling, I could hear or feel anything moving near me. A fish underwater is a marvelous thing, connected to the waves, flowing with the tides.

I daydreamed about having gills...

When I was 11 I learned to swim so well that I could dive into the deep water and stay under for a time.....I know that lucious feeling of being in another world.........a blue world..............I remembered a time when I was able to live under the water..........where I could flow so easily and move so smoothly.........where the light moved mysteriously in beautiful patterns bringing me simple little ecstasies of loveliness............perhaps the 4th dimension is a little like this...............and perhaps we swim steadily, and then we're off! With a flick of the tail!!!

Being near water calms my soul and brings me equilibrium. I just spent a few days camping near the Pacific and it was incredibly rejuvenating.

When I was little, I daydreamed about being a mermaid a lot :) I loved going to the beach or even a pool and be in the water all day if I could (which is bad for my skin though because I'm very pale and I just burn and don't tan.. go figure =/). But water has always felt like a place where I just belong :)

Something about being underwater has always been soothing to me. Ever since I was a young kid, I would find my way to the deep end of the pool and go hang out at the very bottom.

Haven't had much swimming time lately, last swim I had was in a non heated pool and I could only stand it for a short time. I have had some good beach time lately. There is something about watching the waves make love to the land, the beautiful white noise of the waves crashing, the Sun dancing on the wave tops.

To the sea, to the beautiful sea...

I love to float underwater. I wish I could hold my breath longer naturally.... its the most serene feeling being in the water below surface

As lame as it sounds ..... rising up to break the surface waters from being under awhile, is, the only way I can explain it visually is a bit like venus rising up from the depths of the water.... it's... different. I always imagine bubbles breaking around me :) hehe

Got close to the water again, but couldn't linger and suck up the energy the way I like to. I was working in Alameda (an island close to Oakland where I live), and wandered over to the end of the shopping center where I discovered water from the Bay. The Sun was shining and dancing on the waves, beckoning to me calling me over.

I had a vision of myself on the bow of a boat with the wind in my hair and a smile on my face...

Just got back from Maui, love the colors of the sea there felt at home in the snorkling waters looking at the fishes!!! But I also felt at home in the big waves of surfing, but was too afraid to go into because I have been out of the rough waters for along time, except in my everyday life!! And I also have an inground pool I love but had a bad summer here in the east too cold sad day when we closed the pool love looking at the water.

Sleepy Pisceans, floating aimlessly in their own thoughts. Daydreaming the days and nights away. Watching the terrible and beautiful visions like ghosts dancing above the waves. We are called back to the water by Neptune's own will...

I drove over the Richmond bridge on the way to a job in San Rafael yesterday. Traffic was heavy because one of the main bridges here in the SF Bay Area is closed for repairs. As I edge up towards the span, I can see the Sun reflecting brilliantly on the water. I roll my window down and take a deep breath of sea air mixed with auto exhaust.

Seagulls fly lazily over the water, scanning for an easy meal. Boats waver in the distance through the bright sunlight. Close by I can see a sail boat sitting on the waves. 2 men are fishing off the side. I picture myself on the boat being handed an ice cold beer by a beautiful young lady. I imagine the sea air blowing in my face, and the gentle rocking of the boat as my line dances below the waves.

Then suddenly I'm thrust back into my car. Traffic moves a few inches, but my mind flies on at high velocity. Wishing, dreaming of the ocean...
