Mom's a Scorpio. Loves to solve puzzles. Her public face is engaging, loves to laugh, was the life of the party when she was younger. Definitely had that stinger tail though---watch out for the temper.
Dad is a Cancer, although I just ran his chart and found a Taurus ascendant, which I think more accurately describes him....she complains that he's stubborn. He's very analytical and stoic; doesn't even celebrate birthdays. I've learned that although he didn't respond to or participate in every converstion that didn't mean he wasn't listening.
Both of their personalities are affected by drinking, though, which I'm finally realizing well into my 30s had an impact on me. the whole situation makes me sad and being triple water I can be pretty damn emotional anyway.

Not the best of experiences with *any* of them, to say the least.
Took too many years for the parents to come to terms and admit to the fact that the family was very disfunctional due to their mistakes (tho' they've done their best in recent years to correct the old ways and done a smashing job), and bi-polar younger brother *still* denies fault when anything goes wrong in his vicinity.

my mum's a virgo, (pisces polarity) let's just say we are as opposite as they come. she's very practical, judgemental and pragmatic. likes things a certain way and is not really interested in the esoteric or experimental. she was very much about fitting in, not standing out.

dad's an aquarius. of the handful of super influential men in my life to this point, 2 (besides my dad) have also been aquarians. we seem to get each other. sometimes he's a little much for me. like most aquarians, he has things in their places and the beloved but far away daughter compartment seemed to work for us.

Mom a gemini, dad aqarius, sister leo. It's miracle I'm alive cause my family was so unkind and troublesome for me. I was criticized a lot and there was always a feeling of missing someone that really cared about me and my needs! I'm really jealous of people who come from a loving home, it makes me feel really sorry for myself but I guess in the end you have to move on from it ( which is far from easy).

Yes. I stood out like a sore thumb. I was misunderstood. Oddly, though, I'm the Extrovert. Mom and Brother both tested as Introverts (ISFJ and ISTJ, respectively. I think my dad was an introvert as well. Got in trouble alot for being a smart a%%, it was being logical. I have Venus and Mercury in Aquarius.

He was way older than her and only chose her cause she was a young virgin. She gave him three children and put up with his crap for way too long.

It's funny, the allegations Princess Di made about Charles having pushed her etc mirrored exactly what my dad would do to my mum. And yet he'd come across as the most charming and docile guy to all their friends.
